By Car from the Motorway
Follow the Directions:
1. Leave the M1 motorway at Junction 36. Take the A61 towards Sheffield
2. At the first roundabout turn right on the A616 towards Manchester
3. Take the second turning off this road on the A6102 towards Oughtibridge
4. Follow this road down into Deepcar village. At the junction (Royal Oak pub) turn left, signed to Oughtibridge
5. You are now on the main A616 road to Sheffield. Go through Wharncliffe Side village to Oughtibridge village, both are on the main road
6. In Oughtibridge you enter a short one-way system. After about 500 yards, you turn back on yourself. The road is signed A6160 to Worrall, Bradfield and Stocksbridge
7. After about 500 yards you will see shops and a pedestrian crossing. Turn left immediately after the crossing into Church Street. The road is signed to Worrall (1.5 miles)
8. Go up Church Street for about half a mile. Turn left at the sign to Worrall (0.75 mile)
9. Go through the village (Blue Ball pub on the right and Post Office on the left). Immediately afterwards turn right (at the grass triangle) into Kirk Edge Road
10. The school is about 300 yards up the hill on the right
By Car From Sheffield
Take the A6102 road to Manchester as far as Oughtibridge. Follow the above directions from Point 7 above.
By Public Transport
It is difficult to get to Bradfield School by public transport because of its relatively isolated location and the infrequency of the bus service. If you need to travel by public transport, please telephone school and we will give you advice.
