Homework

Your teacher will set you homework every week. Make sure you write what it is, in your planner, along with the date it is due in.
You should be able to get it done in about 20 to 30 minutes. If you find it too tricky, find your teacher, and ask them for some help. None of the Maths teachers will bite you!
If you cannot find your teacher, Mr Lowry will help you. You can find him in Room 7.
When you get your work back, look at how you got on and see whether you could try to improve for next time.

Assessments

Lots of your work will be assessed so that you know how well you are doing.
Each half term we will have a test, which will count towards your maths score for the year.
You will be able to check through your tests and give yourself targets for improvement as the year goes on.
ProgressThree times a year, your teacher will tell you your working level. Hopefully, you will be moving forward from your Y6 SAT level. If not, your teacher will talk to you about ways for you to make better progress.
