Targets for this year
This year you will take your SATs exams. We hope that you will work hard and achieve a good rate of progress for the three years of Keystage Three.
Level 3's from Y6 should become good level 4's or maybe even level 5's.
Level 4's from Y6 should aim for good 5's or hopefully 6's.
We would hope that the level 5's from Y6 will progress to become 7's or 8's by the end of this year.
Your teacher will tell you your working grade each term and will give you advice on how to improve, if you are not working towards your target.
You will have a practice SAT exam before Easter so that you can clearly identify the areas you need to work on.
Homework
Your teacher will set you homework every week.
Make sure you write what it is, in your planner, along with the date it is due in.
You should be able to get it done in about 20-30 minutes.
If you find it too tricky, find your teacher in school, and ask them for some help. None of the Maths teachers will bite you!
If you cannot find your teacher, then Mr Lowry will help you. You can find him in Room 7. When you get your work back, look at how you got on and see whether you could try and improve for next time.
